Accounting Manager / Consolidation Specialist

As Accounting Manager within our organisation, you will play a key role in managing and implementing overall accounting practices, budgeting, developing internal controls and building a (small) finance team. You will operate in a dynamic, hands-on environment where you will be responsible for financial process optimisation and seamless collaboration with various business entities. The successful candidate for this position will report directly to the CFO and play an instrumental role in the company's financial future.
Core responsibilities:
- Month end: You are in the lead of the monthly closing in Exact Globe, together with various stakeholders inside and outside the finance department,
- Consolidation You are responsible for the performing the (sub-) consolidations of various business entities in Lucanet
- Corporate tax: You will be responsible for calculating the VPB and assist in preparing the annual return.
- Optimisation: You will contribute to the continuous improvement of controls and processes through automation, efficiency and process re-design.
- Audit: You will be the first point of contact for the annual financial audit.
- Acquisition: Timely and correct processing of new acquisitions. In addition, timely integration of a new acquisition into the financial system.
- Mergers/Liquidation: Timely and correct processing of mergers and/or liquidations in the accounts.
- Statutory obligations: You will be responsible for meeting the statutory obligations of business entities in a timely manner.
Requested profile:
- Training: Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting
- Experience: 7-10 years of experience in a similar role in a Private Equity backed company operating under the Buy-and-Build strategy
- Analytical ability: Strong analytical skills and experience in improving financial business processes. You know how to interpret data and extract actionable insights from it.
- Leadership skills: Experience in building and managing finance teams, preferably in change processes or during integrations.
- Project management: Demonstrable experience in managing complex financial projects such as financial system implementations, processing acquisitions, executing company liquidations/mergers
- Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills. You are able to communicate complex issues clearly and convincingly to different audiences.
- Systems: You have demonstrable experience with financial systems, preferably Exact Globe+ and Lucanet, but other financial systems are not foreign to you.
