New name reflects positive and customer-centric approach to IT services for SMEs
Sneek, June 2024 – The Friesian ICT service provider Office IT from Sneek is taking the next step in its growth and, in cooperation with Smizer, the buy and build platform of investment company Riverdam, is acquiring Cenned Connect from Joure. This strategic acquisition combines the strengths of two Frisian companies and strengthens their regional market position, stimulates growth in the Northern Netherlands and enables them to better serve customers in the increasing demand for online workplace management and communication solutions.

In addition to organic growth, we are actively seeking acquisition candidates in the Northern Netherlands to further expand Office IT’s market position,” said Nick Betgem, director of Office IT. The addition of Cenned Connect’s connectivity and communications solutions allows Office IT to professionalize its Sneek-based organization and expand its services to SMB customers in the areas of online workplace management, VoIP, cloud solutions and ICT management. Earlier, Office IT expanded its position in the region with the acquisition of Elcom Automatisering (2022), Webish ICT (2023) and Prosoft ICT (2023).
Regional growth within Riverdam’s Smizer platform
The IT sector in the Netherlands is growing rapidly and playing an important role in the digitization of other industries. Riverdam, which focuses on IT Managed Service Providers (MSPs) through Smizer, has actively invested in regional MSPs over the past three years and built a growing platform.
